Another recent build we did for Church’s Chicken was in Lubbock Texas. This was a ground-up, new build, franchise construction project. We are always excited to take on new projects, and on top of that this was a client that we truly love to work with. We have completed multiple restaurant construction projects with them, and we were very excited to get started on yet another.

One of the assets of W.L. Decker that puts us a cut above the rest is the incredible people with work with. Veteran superintendent R. Newton took this project on and battled more than 20 days of weather delay. Weather is one of the aspects of commercial contracting that can always surprise you, but it’s one that the professionals know how to deal with. Our team of seasoned professionals met these intense weather delays with grace and saw the project through, to an on-time completion. We are proud of our ability to finish projects on time and under budget, no matter the complications that may arise.

Besides weather, there countless other complication of any new build that can arise, and our team needs to be ready for all of those. On this build we successfully identified problem specs in site work paving. Catching this early is the first step, after that we made necessary steps to correct the problem while staying on schedule and within our budget. Remaining vigilant is important to our team so that we have ample time to adjust our construction work according to any of these complications.

We successfully procured valuable experienced trades in a construction market/region during a subcontractors’ drought. This drought was brought on by immense oil industry construction, but we navigated this situation to smooth under-budget agreements. Additionally we protected our client and all parties in intricate construction negotiations, scheduling, and permitting. We think these extra efforts are what every project deserves, and here at W. L. Decker Contractor, we give that to every construction project we take on.
